Course Description
This is a self-paced course for professionals, caregivers, and community members working with youth. Some of the videos shared within this course were previously recorded from live training sessions offered through the Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health (CEBH). This is course 3 of 3 for the Youth Suicide Prevention Training Series. If you have not taken Introduction to Suicide Prevention with Youth and Conducting Suicide Risk Assessments with Youth, it is recommended you complete those courses before beginning this course.
Objectives
Across four modules, you will learn to:
- Describe the components of a youth safety plan.
- Collaboratively develop a youth safety plan.
- Determine effective follow-up procedures and practices.
Course Length
The entire course will take about 1 hour to complete in one sitting; however, you have the ability to save your progress and return at any time.
Course Materials
All students will receive access to key terms used throughout the course, accessible activity companion guides, and a generalized course resource guide. Students will have access to materials upon completion of the respective sections and can be re-accessed at any time after completion.
After all modules are complete and the survey is submitted, the downloadable Certificate of Completion will be unlocked.
